Modeled after the "Nick Lucas Special from the 1920's.
The H13 is able to achieve power beyond what would be expected in a small-bodied guitar.
Two fundamental lutherie techniques make it possible:
A longer string length puts more downward pressure at the saddle,
and a deeper body creates more air space for increased volume and bass response.
The bridge is placed in the optimal position to maintain the longer string length...
and the neck needs to join the body at the 13th fret.
The Body is Mahogany with a Sitka Spruce Top.
Top is a Sunburst Finish.
Back and Sides are a Tobacco Finish.
The Neck is Mahogany with an Ebony Fingerboard and Slotted Headstock.
Scale Length is 25.5"
Neck shape is a "V".
Nut Width is 1-3/4"
The Bridge is Ebony.
Binding around the Body and Neck is Ivoroid.
Pickguard is Tortoise
