The BUFFER is a necessity when you're running more than 18-1/2' of guitar cable... especially with single coil pickups. It is true bypass, but it shouldn’t ever need to be turned off. It uses a JFET OpAmp IC. It’s a simple circuit for purity of tone. The switch is only to see what it does to the guitar signal. |
